Vision Statements

Revised January 2006


1. To be more inclusive in our congregation by sharing Christian fellowship through informal gatherings.
2. To encourage use of time and talents for the church's mission.
3. To show personal interest in folks not in regular attendance, the sick and homebound, and prospective members, through visitation.
4. To expand all education programs, especially for children.
5. To get people excited about the need for church in our lives.
6. To incorporate contemporary music periodically throughout the church year in worship services.
7. To attract more people with an emphasis on young families.
8. To further cooperative efforts and involvement with other churches and neighborhood groups in our area to address community needs.
9. To continue church facility usage so the church is an even more welcoming and serving place for the neighborhood.
10. To develop a well-functioning Altar Guild and Usher crew.
11. To guide prospective and new members to their place in the St. Luke's family.
12. To teach stewardship to children and youth.
13. To further develop an organizational and documentation system for Council, Boards and Committees.
14. To start a Men's Group.
15. To make the Youth Group stronger.
