New Chrismons at St. Luke's - Chrismons, or Christ monograms, are beautiful expressions of the true reason for the season - the birth of Jesus Christ. These religious decorations are traditionally created in white and gold to symbolize His purity, perfection, majesty and glory. Ours are no exception. This year the tree in the sanctuary will be covered with new Chrismons thanks to the work of loving hands of members of the congregation. Stitchers have been working since last Christmas on three different patterns to get them ready to hang on the tree before the December 9th, 2007, Sunday service.

Children's Receiving Home Christmas Project - is ready to go and a list of 105 children who will be at the receiving home during the holidays is available in the church Narthex. The Children's Receiving Home is the first stop for children who are removed from their homes by CPS and Law Enforcement for neglect, abuse or inability for one reason or another to care for them. These children are very frightened and mistrustful. They miss their families and just want to be home with them. This project is to help make the holidays a little brighter, happer and more hopeful for these children. The support from St. Luke's Church has been fantastic, and each year all the children are taken care of and enjoy a very happy holiday.
